General description of waterstop tape:
waterstop is a hydrophilic rubber waterstop that swells upon contact with water to prevent water infiltration
through cast-in-place concrete construction joints subjected to continuous or intermittent hydrostatic pressure.
It is easy to install and functionally replaces conventional passive PVC dumbbell waterstops.
waterstop is also ideal for industrial projects that may require an elevated level of chemical compatibility
for long term performance.
Hydrophilic waterproof rubber water stop strip for concret joints is an absorbent strip used to seal
and waterproof concrete joints. It is commonly made of natural sodium bentonite clay and synthetic rubber.
Both the modified synthetic rubber and the bentonite expand in the joint when exposed to moisture.
It is a new type of waterproof material, water stop, waterproof effect is more reliable than ordinary rubber.
In contact with water the waterstop strip will swell approximately 150%-600 % of its original dry volume,
the expansive clay mass will seal the cracks and small voids in the joint.
Application:
PN bentonite rubber waterstop, is widely used in swimming pools, waste water / sewer solution projects,
underground railway, tunnels, culverts, buildings etc, in the construction joints, expansion joints and cracks
of concrete constructions. It is designed for water stop / waterproof of concrete joints.

Installation and Notes
1. To clear the debris, dross and dust, etc before installing the waterstop and keep the base dry;
2. The waterstop must be fixed with nails or adhesive on the surface of the central position, make sure not fall off;
3. The overlap joints of the waterstop must be parallel connection and form a closed, not leaving the breakpoint;
4. The storage and transport of the waterstop avoid moisture, extrusion, deformation;
5. The package box cantains detailed installation instructions, the construction must follow the instruct.
